Ferryhill Weekly Market
Portfolio Holder - Councillor Mrs Zena Roddam
Ferryhill Town Council took over the management of the Ferryhill Market from Sedgefield Borough Council in May 2006.
The Ferryhill Market is held in the Market Place in Ferryhill town centre every Friday between the hours of 9.00am – 3.00pm and houses many stalls selling a variety of different items, such as fresh produce, clothes and household goods.
The Town Council are currently working with the local traders and stall holders on ways of developing the town centre and the market to promote and regenerate the town centre as a whole.
The Town Council therefore plans to hold more specialist markets, such as Farmers Markets, Continental Markets and Collectors Markets.
Local charities can also hold a stall on the market to raise funds, and are permitted one stall on the market annually free of charge.
A car boot sale will also be taking place every Saturday morning from 6am - 12pm with effect from June 2008.
If you are interested in holding a stall on the Ferryhill Market or Saturday morning car boot sale, or require any further information with regard to the market, then please contact us on 07947918142 or 01740 652157.
