Ferryhill E Café

Portfolio Holder - Councillor Miss Amy Patchett

Ferryhill E Café has been open since April 2002 and has been a great success ever since.

The E Café was developed by the Town Council in partnership with Sedgefield Borough Council, Durham County Council and Ferryhill Community Partnership, following the Ferryhill Community Appraisal, which highlighted it as a major need within the Town.

The E Café is well attended and caters for young people from age 8 years up over, and is always welcoming new members.

There are a wide range of facilities available in the E Café, including computer games, pool table, table tennis, karaoke machine and much more. The young people also take part in many activities including art and crafts, mural painting, competitions, health and safety and first aid training courses and occasionally overnight sleepovers.

All of these activities are organised by the E Café Co-ordinator, Michelle Pickford, Youth Workers and local volunteers.

The E Café is located at 31-32 Market Street, Ferryhill, Co Durham, DL17 8JH and is currently open 4 nights a week. The opening times for Ferryhill E Café are:
